LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Blue Grass Airport announced United Airlines will begin operating daily non-stop flights from Lexington, Ky., to Denver, Colo.

Beginning Sept. 29, 2023, this new flight will not only serve as a gateway to Denver and the Rocky Mountains, but it will also provide travelers with connecting access to over 70 westbound destinations, including the western U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Western Canada, Mexico and Japan.

“This is great news for Lexingtonians and all of central Kentucky,” said Eric Frankl, president and CEO of Blue Grass Airport. “This non-stop route to Denver, with all its connection possibilities to the West, has long been a highly desired destination for travelers flying from Blue Grass Airport.”

The addition of the flight is part of United Airlines’ “United Next” plan and includes an additional 35 new flights across the country.

“This announcement comes as United expands its role as the Mile High City’s most flown airline. One critical part of our expansion is offering our customers more convenient access to unique destinations like Lexington,” said United’s Managing Director of Domestic Planning, Mark J. Weithofer.

In addition to non-stop service to Denver, United Airlines offers three daily flights between Blue Grass Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
