LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Fried Chicken is kicking off summer with a new Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich. Beginning July 3, the sandwich will be available at participating KFC restaurants nationwide for a limited time.

According to KFC, the new BBQ Fried Chicken is packed with BBQ in every bite, and features an extra crispy white meat chicken filet topped with hickory smoked bacon, KFC’s signature honey BBQ sauce, fried onions, melted cheese and pickles, all served on a premium brioche bun.

“With the best tastes of summer and our finger lickin’ good fried chicken between two buttery brioche buns, the Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich is an invitation to savor every last joyful ‘bite’ of summer. It’s a BBQ in every bite!” said Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer with KFC.

To pair with the new BBQ sandwich, KFC is also releasing a new blackberry lemonade for summer. KFC says it’s the perfect combination of tart and fruity flavors that balance the sweet and tangy honey BBQ sauce in their new sandwich.

To spice things up, KFC is rolling out a summer sweepstakes in partnership with Going.com. Anyone who orders the new Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich through the KFC mobile app or kfc.com from July 3 to Aug. 13 can be entered for a chance to win a dream vacation for two to Aruba. The trip includes tickets, four days and three nights stay along with a sunset dinner cruise, horseback beach ride and more.
