What You Need To Know

  •  A 25 acre mixed-use development is going up in Newport

  •  This will contain residential units, offices, hotels, retail, entertainment space

  •  Officials said vertical construction continues and people should be moving in in 2024 to some of those residential units

  • Corporex officials said a massive project like this requires a good team and lots of communication

“Ovation is growing by the day,” she said.

Ovation is a 25-acre mixed use development currently being built in Newport. It will include approximately one thousand residential units, including luxury condominium units with a view of downtown Cincinnati.

“You see two of those buildings going up. We’ll be starting the apartments this summer. So many things taking place, the vertical construction is incredible,” she said.

Ovation will also be home to offices, hotels, fitness and social clubs, shops and entertainment space. Deatherage said a project of this size is only possible with good communication.

“Everyone in the industry is dealing with supply chain and our construction leadership and team has been so creative to ensure this project continues,” she said.

The office space portion of Ovation is almost complete and Deatherage said tenants should move in later this summer. The Boardwalk condos should be move-in ready next year.

“I mean it’s amazing! I mean, how cool to come to work? I’m jealous of everybody that’ll be living here. They get to wake up to this every day and go to sleep with it every night.”

Deatherage says Corporex hasn’t just built a new facility, they have built relationships with the city and nearby businesses. It’s a partnership that should make help make the space come to life when it officially opens.

The company is opening a pedestrian bridge over Third Street on May 9. They plan to mark the occasion by burying a time capsule.
