LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It is going to be a “Wicked” season for PNC Broadway in Louisville. Shows coming to Louisville for the 2023-2024 season were announced Wednesday and theater fans are certain to find a show they will enjoy.
The Broadway series kicks off in the fall of 2023 with Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz. The 2003 musical blockbuster has spawned productions worldwide and a movie starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo is currently in production.
After Elphaba and Glinda drop by, “Tina - The Tina Turner Musical” rolls into the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. The story of how Anna Mae Bullock broke barriers and became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll. The soundtrack will have theatergoers dancing in their seats.
Who wants to build a snowman? Disney’s Frozen comes to The Kentucky Center for two weeks featuring what PNC Broadway describes as “sensational special effects, stunning sets and costumes…“
The ultimate whodunnit inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, “Clue” is next up. This show was also a 1985 movie starring Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn.
“SIX,” winner of two Tony Awards, including Best Original Score, is described as “the global sensation everyone is losing their heads over.” The SIX wives of Henry VIII take girl power to a new level remixing five hundred years of heartbreak and turn it into a stage celebration.
President of PNC Broadway in Louisville, Leslie Broecker said, “We are so thrilled to bring 5 hot, new Broadway shows to Louisville and welcome Wicked back after 8 years. We have been carefully curating this season for many months and expect to welcome new Broadway fans with such a dynamic season. There really is a show for everyone and plenty of family-friendly options.”

- Wicked: Sept. 20 - Oct. 8, 2023
- TINA - The Tina Turner Musical: Nov. 28 - Dec. 3, 2023
- Frozen: Jan. 24 - Feb. 4, 2024
- Clue: March 5-10, 2024
- SIX: April 9-14, 2024
- Beetlejuice: May 14–9, 2024
Tickets for the season are on sale now. Prices for the 5-show season packages (which include “TINA - The Tina Turner Musical,” “Frozen,” “Clue,” “SIX” and “Beetlejuice”) range between $209-$737 depending on seat location.
If you add “Wicked” a 6-show package with prices ranging from $260-$860 depending on seat location.
