LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Zoo's "Wild Lights" event is making its return.

The popular attraction will return March 19 through May 30, but tickets are already on sale online.

This year's new lineup includes over 70 illuminated displays made of thousands of silk-covered pieces lit by over 50,000 LED lightbulbs, featuring zoo animals, marine animals, dinosaurs, and mythical animals.

For a good photo opportunity, displays featuring a pumpkin carriage, angel wings and lit walking stars along with a bubbling lotus corridor, a tyrannosaurus tunnel, and a 49-foot animatronic whale will be on display.

The event, which is wheelchair and stroller friendly, will take place between 6:30-10:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday nights from March 19 to May 30, and daily from March 24 to April 4.

"Wild Lights" is in partnership with international event design company Tianyu Arts & Culture, which has produced 42 lantern events in 24 cities welcoming over 3 million visitors.

Members can purchase tickets in advance until 5 p.m. on the day of the event for $17 per guest age 3 and over. Non-members can also purchase general admission tickets in advance until 5 p.m. on the day of the event for $20 per guest age 3 and over. Children age 2 and under are free.
