LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Veterans can spend Veterans Day at the Louisville Zoo for free this year.
The Zoo announced it would be offering active and retired military, in addition to their dependents, free general admission on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. The offer is sponsored by T-Mobile.
Proof of military service must be presented at the Zoo's admission windows for the free admission. The following can serve as proof:
- U.S. Uniformed Services ID Card;
- U.S. Uniformed Services Retired ID Card;
- Current Leave and Earnings Statement;
- Photograph in uniform;
- Wearing uniform; and
- DD214 and citation or commendation.
Active and retired military and their dependents will also receive 10% off gift shop purchases and 50% off food and drink concessions.
For those who can't make it on Veteran's Day, active military receive free admiision year-round, while active military dependents and retired military receive 10% off admission year-round.
