FRANKFORT, Ky- Attorney General-Elect Daniel Cameron has announced who will be serving under him when he takes office in January. 

Barry Dunn will be appointed as Deputy Attorney General when Cameron takes his oath of office. 

“Barry is an excellent lawyer who has served at the highest levels of government,” said Attorney General-elect Cameron in a release. “Barry’s experience includes some of the most high-stakes legal matters in recent Kentucky history.  His in-depth knowledge of state government and experience in the private sector will serve Kentuckians well in the Office of Attorney General.”

In 2015, Dunn was appointed as General Counsel of the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet, where he served as the cabinet's lawyer on regulation of financial institutions, horse racing, alcoholic beverages, construction among other things. Currently, Dunn practices law in a private firm he formed focusing on litigation, government regulatory issues and small businesses. 

I look forward to working on behalf of all Kentuckians to ensure that the Attorney General’s office performs its mandate as the chief law enforcement office of the Commonwealth,” said Dunn in a release.  “The Attorney General-elect has pledged to fight the drug epidemic, prosecute those who abuse our children and take advantage of our seniors, curb Medicaid fraud, and tackle public corruption.  I look forward to addressing these issues.”

Dunn resides in Oldham County.
