LOUISVILLE, Ky. - It's been a little over a month since the Kentucky Derby was run, but already Churchill Downs is looking ahead to next year's race.  The track unveiled the new logo for next year's Kentucky Derby

For the 14th year, SME created the logo.  The 146th Kentucky Derby logo pays homage to one of the most unique traditions in racing, the iconic bugle that calls horses to the post.

Churchill Downs also commissioned Keith Anderson to create the Offical Art of the 146th Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks.  Anderson is a Louisviille-based artist and an employee of Brown-Forman. He has created the artwork for Woodford Reserve's 2018 an 2019 commemorative Derby bottles.  You can see Anderson's work on display at the Frazier History Museum through January 2020 as part of the Woodford Reserve & the Kentucky Derby: Two Decades of Artistry, Bourbon and Horseracing. He is the 23rd artist and fourth consecutive Kentuckian commissioned to create the official art of the Derby, a tradition that first began in 1997. The official art will be unveiled in the spring of 2020.
