KENTUCKY — The city of Lexington is turning 250 in 2025. Mayor Linda Gorton has created the 250 Lex Commission to plan an entire year’s worth of events honoring the cultural and historic significance of Lexington’s past, present and future.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Mayor Gorton shares details about a newly launched a new webpage to prepare for the city’s 250th celebration! Mayor Gorton announced last month the makeup of a planning committee who are tasked with creating a year’s worth of events to mark this historic milestone. There will be many ways to get involved; one of the earliest is the design competition for the logo.
