CINCINNATI — Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said an emergency response services unit and an emergency operations center have been assembled in preparation for Wednesday night's severe weather

The storm system heading into the state Wednesday night is forecasted to cause flooding, in which much of Ohio is already under a Flood Watch. Other threats include damaging winds, hail and tornadoes.

Butler County had just went through a bout of severe weather on Sunday, having two confirmed tornadoes on the ground. Damage was reported across the county, including at a mobile home park and at a church

The flooding threat doesn't stop though after Wednesday night's storms roll through. Spectrum News 1 meteorologists expect 4-5 inches for much of the state starting Wednesday through Sunday.

Jones said the emergency response team is prepared for any weather-related incident in the community.

"We urge our Butler County citizens to stay vigilant and always be prepared for an emergency related weather event. But, take comfort in knowing, our ERS and EOC personnel are committed to a swift response to assist whenever and wherever needed," Jones said.
