OHIO — Three indoor water parks in Ohio are among 10 other parks in the U.S., according to USA Today's 10Best Reader's Choice. 

The report is based on opinions from a panel of experts, and then the readers pick their favorites among those selected by the experts, according to USA Today. 

In first place is Kalahari Resorts, which has multiple locations, including in Sandusky. It has three other resorts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Texas. 

At No. 5 is Great Wolf Lodge Resorts, which also has a location in Sandusky, as well as in Mason, Ohio.

"To be recognized in back-to-back years as the Best Indoor Water Park, voted by readers and guests, is one of the biggest honors we can get," said Travis Nelson, president and owner of Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in a press release. "We're committed to constantly evolving and expanding the guest experience at Kalahari, so to receive this recognition is a clear sign of our guests' appreciation of that. We are so grateful to our associates and our guests."

Nelson also stated that the company plans to open another location in Virginia in 2026.
