Diamond Palmer a reporter based in Louisville. She joined Spectrum News 1 Kentucky in June 2021 after graduating from Northwestern University with her Master of Science in Journalism degree.

The Champaign, IL native graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, TV, and Digital Media. She went on to Northwestern University to receive her Master of Science in Journalism in 2021. While at SIUC she worked for PBS affiliate WSIU-TV and ABC affiliate WSIL-TV. During her time at Northwestern University she worked for Medill Reports, CAN-TV, and the Medill Investigate Lab collaboration with The Washington Post.
Diamond is overjoyed to now be in the Bluegrass state and ecstatic to be a Kentuckian. She is honored to tell the important stories of people in the state and looks forward to it everyday she wakes up. Community is one of the most important aspects of this job for her. She is dedicated to building valuable relationships in the Kentucky community and getting the facts right.
Her favorite thing to do is trying local restaurants in Lexington. When she’s not finding new restaurants to try or chasing stories you can find her watching Hulu, shopping or hanging out with her family and friends.
