EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — With spring just around the corner, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim has brought back its hit outdoor festival for food lovers to enjoy.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival began Friday and runs until April 22 in Anaheim.

To keep with the times and ever-evolving food scene in Southern California, this year's festival has introduced Earth Eats, a plant-forward festival marketplace.

And for the first time, guests can now purchase their choice of two Sip and Savor Pass types: a new four-coupon option and the returning eight-coupon option, redeemable for select food or nonalcoholic beverages from participating festival marketplaces or dining locations.

Plus, to keep the scene family-friendly, Disney Junior’s hit animated series “SuperKitties” is the inspiration behind a new, interactive kids' offering in Hollywood Land, where junior chefs ages 3 through 11 can decorate cupcakes and more.

Other festival highlights include:

  • The return of the fan-favorite Soarin’ Over California attraction
  • Cooking demonstrations hosted by local, celebrity and Disney chefs
  • Bookable experiences such as mixology classes and tasting seminars, available for a separate fee
