LOS ANGELES — A preliminary magnitude-3.2 earthquake struck southern California at 8:27 p.m. Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was centered offshore, about 22 miles west-southwest of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Early data indicated the quake originated at a depth of nearly 11 miles, according to the U.S.G.S. 

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
