MALIBU, Calif. — A magnitude-3.9 earthquake centered near Malibu struck Sunday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was reported at 8:17 p.m. Sunday, centered 6.2 miles northwest of Malibu, the USGS reported. It was nearly nine miles beneath the surface.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The earthquake follows a 3.3-magnitude quake that struck near Malibu Monday, and a 4.1-magnitude quake one day prior.
The earthquake was reported at 2:23 a.m. and was centered 7.4 miles northwest of Malibu and 8 miles southwest of Thousand Oaks.
A 4.1-magnitude earthquake rattles the Westlake Village area.
It was felt as far south as Orange County.
A preliminary 3.5 earthquake was recorded just after 2 p.m. near Idyllwild.
The first quake was reported at 11:44 p.m. Friday, with an epicenter 7.7 miles northwest of Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Monday morning in San Bernardino followed by an aftershock, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
