NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (CNS) — A small earthquake struck Sunday centered off the coast of Orange County.
The magnitude-3.6 temblor was recorded at 3:41 a.m., about 14.5 miles southwest of Newport Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It had a depth of nine kilometers.
No damage was reported.
The earthquake was reported at 8:17 p.m. Sunday, centered 6.2 miles northwest of Malibu, the USGS reported.
The earthquake was reported at 2:23 a.m. and was centered 7.4 miles northwest of Malibu and 8 miles southwest of Thousand Oaks.
A 4.1-magnitude earthquake rattles the Westlake Village area.
It was felt as far south as Orange County.
