LOS ANGELES – With an increased fire danger for the rest of the week, Southern California Edison is weighing shutting off power to 162,276 customers.
Weather conditions expected for Wednesday may elevate the fire risk. SCE implements Public Safety Power Shutoffs to decrease the chance power lines will spark a wildfire.
On Thursday and Friday, the fire danger increases as more offshore winds blow through the area and warm us up again. Due to the stronger winds, lower humidity, and hot temperatures, a Fire Weather Watch, has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning for the next two days.
