LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Godzilla vs. Kong kept its spot atop the box office this weekend, grossing $13.38 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, according to industry estimates out Sunday.
In just two weeks, Warner Bros.' monster movie has already become the highest-grossing film of the pandemic era domestically, raking in $69.5 million to pass last year's thriller Tenet.
Nobody was second with $2.65 million, followed by the horror film The Unholy with $2.4 million, Comscore reported.
Raya and the Last Dragon was fourth with $2.14 million, followed by Voyagers, which opened with $1.35 million.
Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were Tom & Jerry ($1.11 million), The Girl Who Believes in Miracles ($576,744), The Courier ($436,560), Chaos Walking ($265,000), and The Croods: A New Age ($245,000).
