LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Nobody, an action film starring Bob Odenkirk, opened at the top of the box office this weekend with $6.7 million, according to industry estimates released Sunday.
Raya and the Last Dragon — the top-grossing film for the previous three weeks — was second with $3.5 million, followed by another children's film, Tom & Jerry, which grossed $2.5 million, Comscore reported.
Chaos Walking was fourth with $1.18 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, and The Courier was fifth with $1.04 million.
Grosses are being boosted by the reopening of many theaters after about a year of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, including theaters in Southern California.
Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were The Croods: A New Age ($540,000), The Marksman ($375,000), Boogie ($340,000), Minari ($275,000), and Wonder Woman 1984 ($245,000).
