After a quiet Sunday, our next system moves in quickly overnight, bringing rain and snow back to the Badger State.

What You Need To Know

  • Expect this storm to last from Sunday night through Monday

  • Rain will be likely across southern Wisconsin, with mix and snow to the north

  • Snow accumulations are likely in northern Wisconsin

Widespread Winter Weather Advisories are the only winter weather alerts in place, but cover the northern half of the state through Monday afternoon.

Those counties shaded in purple could expect to see heavy, wet snow accumulate several inches.

Rain and snow will start to move into far western Wisconsin Sunday evening, becoming widespread by midnight.

Those in the southern half of the state will likely see more rain due to warmer temperatures. Central Wisconsin could see a mix at times, with northern Wisconsin seeing snow.

Although the heaviest bands of snow will move through northern Wisconsin Sunday night into Monday morning, snow will be consistent through Monday night.

In southern Wisconsin, the majority of rain should be to the east by Monday morning. A few lingering light showers may be possible.

Main impact for this system will be in northern Wisconsin, where consistent snow will lead to reduced visibility and slippery roadways heading into the Monday morning commute.

Those in northwestern Wisconsin have the greatest chance to see several inches of snow, with those in north-central parts of the state likely seeing at least a few inches.

In central and southern Wisconsin, warmer temperatures in place will result in a quick changeover to a wintry mix and rain.
