A winter storm will move through midweek, bringing mainly snow through the Badger State. Let's break down everything you need to know.

What You Need To Know

  • Impacts continue into Thursday evening

  • Most of the state will see mainly snow, but some will get rain and a wintry mix

  • This will create snow-covered roads and low visibility

Most of the state is under some type of winter weather alert through Thursday evening.

Those counties shaded in pink are likely to see several inches of snow when all is said and done. That'll lead to some snow-covered roadways earlier in the day.

Those shaded in purple could still see some wintry mix, but mainly look at light drizzle during the daytime with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s.

This winter storm will clear out of the state through the rest of the day on Thursday. If you live in far southeastern Wisconsin, you'll see a better chance for rain Thursday. Meanwhile, the rest of the state will continue to see some snow showers circulating through into early Thursday night.

All of this will clear out by late Thursday night.

As we'll see some snow circulating through at times the rest of Thursday, be on the lookout for snow-covered spots and slippery stretches north.
