Even though we've already seen severe weather this year in Wisconsin, there's till plenty of time to prepare for what's coming.

And like Meteorologist Jesse Gunkel mentioned in his blog regarding (CoCoRaHS) and SKYWARN programs, you can also help the National Weather Service during severe weather season.

What You Need To Know

  • There will be a mix of virtual and in-person trainings

  • Five NWS offices provide trainings throughout Wisconsin

  • Spotter training lasts through early May

In case you didn't know, National Weather Service offices across the country put on regular storm spotter training sessions. During the training, meteorologists from your area will go over how you can provide vital storm information during a severe weather event.
