The Storm Prediction Center has placed eastern parts of Wisconsin in an Enhanced Risk (severe level 3 out of 5 or "good chance") for severe storms.

Cities such as Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha, Racine, Wausau, Burlington, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Appleton, Middleton, Oconomowoc, Muskego and every city in between should closely monitor these storms.

All types of severe weather are possible.

The main threats will be damaging straight-line winds that could exceed 70 mph.

There will be a better possibility to see a few tornadoes compared to Tuesday.

Heavy rain (1-2 inches with some local higher amounts) will increase the risk for localized flash flooding.

In addition, large hail (greater than an inch in diameter) cannot be eliminated from the equation.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will likely last through the next several hours.

The risk for severe weather will slowly diminish after midnight as storms slide over the Lake Michigan.
