MILWAUKEE — The Marquette women's volleyball team earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Volleyball tournament and will host Ball State at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee on Thursday.

This will be the Golden Eagles' 11th NCAA trip in the last 12 seasons.
Marquette will also host fifth-seeded Georgia Tech and Wright State on Thursday and the winner of each matchup in Friday's second round at 6 p.m. CT. The Georgia Tech/Wright State match is slated for 4 p.m. CT on Thursday and Marquette's match will follow at roughly 7 p.m.
All first and second round matches will be played Dec. 1-3 at campus sites. Teams winning both matches will continue to regional play Dec. 8 & 10. Regional winners will advance to the national semifinals and championship final Dec. 15-17a at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Golden Eagles (27-3, 17-1 BIG EAST) were the BIG EAST Conference regular season co-champions with Creighton. Marquette fell in five sets to Creighton in the BIG EAST Championship match in Omaha over the weekend.
