It’s a unique Sunday for the Packers and for their fans as they play the Giants in London. The game time is 8:30 a.m. CST Sunday morning.

The Packers have played international games before, but not in the regular season. NFL teams have been coming to London since 2007, but the Packers are the last team to play there. The NFL always wanted to protect Green Bay games and opponents didn’t want to lose the draw of the Packers and their fans.

Here are three things to watch ahead of Sunday morning's game:

Rising Giants

When it comes to the game, the Giants are a surprising 3-1 under new coach Brian Daboll.

The Giants haven’t had a winning record since 2016 and haven’t won a playoff game since they won the Super Bowl after the 2011 season. They upset the Packers in the playoffs that year.

Barkley presents a challenge

No matter who is at quarterback, the Giants rely on running back Saquon Barkley. He leads the NFL with 463 rushing yards and stopping the run has been a challenge for the Packers.

Barkley tore his ACL early in the 2020 season but appears to be all the way back.

Historic matchup

These are two of the NFL’s iconic franchises. The Packers and Bears have 785 all-time wins and the Giants are third at 709. Vince Lombardi came to Green Bay from the Giants, where he was the offensive coordinator.

He would beat the Giants in the 1961 and 1962 NFL Championship Games with the Packers.

The Packers will fly back to Green Bay from London right after the game. The team delayed their bye week and will host the New York Jets a week from Sunday at Lambeau Field.
