MILWAUKEE— UW-Milwaukee formally introduced Bart Lundy as its new men’s basketball coach on campus Monday.
Lundy takes over the Panthers after a successful nine-year stint at Division II Queens University in Charlotte. His background includes working three years under Buzz Williams at Marquette.
When I asked Lundy what he felt the ceiling was for the program, he said: “I think you guys have seen it with Bruce Pearl. Not saying that I am Bruce Pearl by any means, but they've been to a Sweet 16, and they know what it tastes like and looks like. I think you can get guys who can be pros here. You have got to get good players, so I don't think there is a ceiling that has been touched for a while."
Lundy: I left a place that offered me a lifetime contract. I took a leap of faith because I think this place can be great. pic.twitter.com/vIXPIhbOUX

Lundy replaces Pat Baldwin, who was let go after five seasons at UWM.
Because he’s worked at both levels, I wanted to know from Lundy the differences he sees between Division II and Division I.
"Probably just the resources, really. The level from where I'm coming from, which was the top of Division II, to this level, is really miniscule."
When asked if he preferred the Panthers playing on campus or downtown, Lundy responded, “wherever we can win.”
