After a year delay due to COVID-19, the 43rd Ryder Cup is officially underway at Whistling Straits. 

The event runs Sept. 21-26. Practice rounds will take place Tuesday through Thursday and the three-day match event will be Friday through Sunday. 

Here's how you can make the most of your experience when you head out to Whistling Straits this weekend. 


What You Need To Know

  • You may bring one unlabeled, sealed bottle of water and a portable, canvas chair with a carry bag

  • The Ryder Cup is a cashless event and personal checks will not be accepted

  • General public parking is free and carpooling is highly encouraged

  • Numerous grandstands are located throughout the grounds. All public grandstand seating is first come, first served.

No cash event

The Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits will be completely cashless. Personal checks will also not be accepted. The following methods will be accepted while at the event:

  • The Ryder Cup Shops accept: American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card
  • Concession and Beverage Stands accept: American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay

Transportation and Parking

General Public Parking
FREE Public Parking will be available in two locations, General Public North and General Public South. Vehicles entering the lots must fit into a standard size parking space.

General Public North
North of Whistling Straits Golf Course.

A complimentary shuttle service from the General Public North Lot will be provided to and from the Ryder Cup Main Entrance at Whistling Straits.

General Public South
South of Whistling Straits Golf Course.

The General Public South Lot is within walking distance to the Ryder Cup Main Entrance.

There will be no overnight parking in any Ryder Cup Public Parking Lots, and any vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please lock your vehicle. PGA Tournament Corporation is not responsible for damage to your vehicle, or items lost or stolen from your vehicle. Carpooling is highly encouraged. 

Due to large crowds expected at the event, carpooling is highly encouraged.

Other spectator services

First Aid Stations

First-aid stations staffed by Prevea Health medical professionals will be located in Dye Plaza, near Hole 6 Concession, and near Hole 15 Green. Each First Aid Station will also be equipped with private mothering rooms, storage and refrigeration. Mothers are permitted to bring necessary equipment on-site.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found will be located at the Information Booth in Dye Plaza near the Main Spectator Entrance.

Complimentary Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available at a number of locations around the Ryder Cup grounds. Keep an eye out for Wi-Fi signs during your visit.

Grandstands

Numerous grandstands are located throughout the grounds. All public grandstand seating is first come, first served. For the safety of everyone and in keeping with policy established at major sporting events, spectators are reminded that running is considered to be unacceptable behavior.

Ryder Cup Radios

Specially programmed radios will be available for purchase at the Ryder Cup. These radios will broadcast the audio portion of the televised feed featured on the video boards, as well as play-by-play radio commentary, throughout the competition (Friday through Sunday) on separate channels. Ryder Cup radios may be purchased for $17 near The Ryder Cup Shops.

Portable Phone Charging

Portable phone chargers are available for rent or purchase in Dye Plaza, at the Range Concession, Irish Hole 10 Concession, and Hole 10 Concession.
