GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers' receiver with the most receiving yards in last Saturday's preseason game against the Jets may surprise you.

In a competitive receiving group, Malik Taylor knows to make the team, he has to make plays.

"It's a crowded room. We’re all good receivers," said Taylor. "Those are all my boys. I just wish the best. We’re all going out there and just play our game. You’re going to drive yourself crazy trying to think about different scenarios and what would happen if this happens and things like that. I think the best way to go about it is to go out there and play your best game, put on good film, and I believe that God is going to take it from there.”

Taylor had four catches for 66 yards against the Jets Saturday. He finished last season on the Packers' roster and has worked to refine his game.

“I would just say playing fast," Taylor said. "I know last year coming into this year, one of the biggest things I wanted to work on is playing fast, going out there and not even thinking, just let loose really. It makes it easier when you have a quarterback like Kurt, Jordan, all those good guys, Aaron and just being out there to play fast and when you connect, that confidence builds and it’s fun out there.”

Some hard cuts are ahead — especially at receiver. But, Malik Taylor likes where he's at.

“I feel like I’ve done pretty much all I can do up to this point," said Taylor. "I’m looking forward to the future. I’m just going to keep putting good film out there, staying healthy and keep going.”

“With Malik, it’s just about the consistency at which he performs," said Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur. "Certainly he has a lot of talent. He was on our roster last year. I do think we’ve seen improvement from him. It just makes it that much more difficult when you’re making the final decisions”

Taylor prides himself on being able to make sideline catches, which he says can often be the difference in a game. The Packers close out the preseason Saturday in Buffalo.
