MADISON, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- The revised Badgers football schedule was released by the Big Ten Wednesday morning. Even the conference admits that nothing is guaranteed because of the pandemic.

The Big Ten had previously announced it planned to play only conference games. Under the new schedule, each Big Ten team will play ten games, six within its own division and four crossover games with the other division.

Notably, the Badgers do not face powers Ohio State and Penn State.

The Badgers are still scheduled to open their season Friday night, September 4, at home against Indiana. The rivalry game with Minnesota has been moved up to September 26th.

There are bye weeks built into the schedule for flexibility in case there are postponements.

The November 21 home game against Rutgers is the added crossover game. There are open dates surrounding the Big Ten Championship game in case things need to move around.

It's still unclear if any fans will be allowed to watch games at Camp Randall Stadium. At best, capacity will be significantly reduced.

The revenue loss for UW will be between 60 and 100 million dollars and Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez urged fans to donate to the Badger Legacy Fund to offset losses.

The Big Ten says it will conduct COVID-19 testing twice every week. A group of Big Ten players want more from the league on its testing and safety standards.

Under the conference guidelines, the Badgers can begin practice on Friday. As Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren says, "everything is fluid."
