In honor of the 36th birthday of the Packers quarterback, Dennis Krause looks back at 36 great moments in his Green Bay career:
1. Super Bowl XLV
MVP as the Packers won the Super Bowl over Pittsburgh 31-25. Was 24 of 39 for 304 yards and three touchdowns.
2. 2010 Divisional Playoff at Atlanta
Great performance in playoff game to start the Packers' playoff run. 31 of 36 for 366 yards and three touchdowns.
3. 2010 NFC Championship Game at Chicago Rodgers' tackle of Brian Urlacher prevented a pick six and helped preserve the victory that sent the Packers to the Super Bowl.
4. Named NFL MVP for 2011
Led Packers to 15-1 regular season with 45 touchdown passes and only six interceptions.
5. Named NFL MVP for 2014
Threw 38 touchdown passes with only five interceptions in leading the Packers to a 12-4 record and a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
6. Playoff Win in Dallas in 2016 Playoffs The sideline pass to Jared Cook highlighted a terrific, 355 yards passing performance.
7. The Comeback in the 2018 Opener
After leaving with a knee injury, returned to bring the Packers back from a 20-0 deficit to beat the Bears 24-23. The game-winning touchdown for 75 yards to Randall Cobb came with 2:13 left.
8. The Pass to Cobb to Win 2013 Division Returned from a fractured collarbone and lifted the Packers to the NFC North title over the Bears in Chicago, 33-28. His 48 yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb on fourth down ranks as one of the most exciting plays in Packers history.
9. Beating Favre Twice in 2010
Brett Favre had beaten the Packers twice in 2009 with the Vikings. Rodgers turned the tables in 2010 with a 28-24 victory in Green Bay and a 31-3 rout in Minnesota.
10. Hail Mary to Richard Rodgers in 2015 Rodgers' 61 yard touchdown heave to Richard Rodgers as time expired lifted the Packers to a 27-23 comeback win at Detroit.
11. Hail Mary in 2015 Playoff Loss at Arizona Rodgers forced overtime with an unlikely 41 yard touchdown pass to Jeff Janis. The Cardinals prevailed in overtime.
12. First Playoff Start in Arizona
After the 2009 season, passed for 423 yards and four touchdowns in a crazy 51-45 loss to Kurt Warner and the Cardinals.
13. First Playoff Win in Philadelphia
After the 2010 season, not many thought that Rodgers and the Packers could knock off Michael Vick and the Eagles in Philadelphia. They did, 21-16, to start their Super Bowl run.
14. Home Playoff Win over Dallas
After the 2014 season, Rodgers helped lead a 26-21 victory over the Cowboys at Lambeau Field. Playing with an injured calf, Rodgers perfectly threaded the go-ahead touchdown to Richard Rodgers.
15. Playoff Win over the Giants
The Giants had come to Lambeau Field and upset the Packers in both the 2007 and 2011 playoffs on the way to Super Bowl wins.
After the 2016 season, the Packers routed the Giants 38-16. Rodgers passed for 362 yards and four touchdowns.
16. The Fake Spike in Miami
In 2014, Rodgers engineered a game-winning drive in Miami. He faked a spike and hit Davante Adams for a 12 yard gain. On the next play, he connected with Andrew Quarless for the winning score.
17. Perfect Passer Rating
On October 20, 2019 against the Raiders, Rodgers posted the first perfect passer rating (158.3) ever by a Packers quarterback. He was 25 of 31 for 429 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-24 Packers victory.
18. Sneak Preview in Dallas
Rodgers gave a glimpse into his potential when he came on for an injured Brett Favre in 2007 and was impressive in a Packers loss to the Cowboys. Rodgers was 18 of 26 for 201 yards and a touchdown.
19. Rodgers Slides To Packers
The 2005 NFL Draft was painful for Rodgers as he dropped to the 24th pick. It all turned out as he served as a backup for three seasons to Brett Favre before taking over as a starter in 2008.
20. First 6 Touchdown Game
October 12, 2012 at Houston. Rodgers tied the franchise record with six touchdown passes in a 42-24 victory over the Texans.
21. A Six-Pack Against the Bears
On November 9, 2014 at Lambeau Field, Rodgers again throws for six touchdown passes in a 55-14 rout of the Bears. All of the TD's came in first half and he was pulled early in the second half because of the lopsided nature of the game.
22. First Five Touchdown Pass Game
On Christmas Day of 2011, Rodgers lit up the Bears for five touchdown passes in a 35-21 Packers victory at Lambeau Field.
23. Five Touchdown Passes against Chiefs On September 28, 2015 at Lambeau Field, Rodgers throws for five touchdown passes in a 38-28 victory over Kansas City.
24. Big Yardage Day against Washington
Passed for 480 yards on September 15, 2013 against Washington at Lambeau Field. The Packers won the game, 38-20.
25. First NFL Start
Rodgers engineered a 24-19 victory over the Vikings on September 8, 2008 at Lambeau Field. He was 18 of 22 for 178 yards and a touchdown. In an omen, he didn't throw any interceptions.
26. Playoff Win at Washington
In the 2015 Wild Card round, helped the Packers come back from an 11-point deficit to win, 35-18. Was 21 of 36 for 210 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
27. Beating the Vikings in Playoffs
The 2012 Wild Card round game at Lambeau Field lost some luster when the Vikings had to scratch starting quarterback Christian Ponder with an injury. The Packers won 24-10. Rodgers threw one touchdown pass.
28. 2011 Opener against Saints
The Packers prevailed 42-34 at Lambeau Field in a matchup of the two previous Super Bowl champions. Rodgers was 27 of 35 for 312 yards, with three touchdown passes and no interceptions.
29. The Fantastic Fall of 2011
Rodgers was the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, October and November. He would go on to win NFL Most Valuable Player honors.
30. Beating the Giants and Bears to Begin 2010 Push
It's easy to forget that before they went on to win the Super Bowl, the Packers had to rally just to make the playoffs in 2010. After missing a game in New England because of a concussion, Rodgers directed home victories over the Giants and Bears to ensure a spot.
31. Clinching 2012 Division Title
In a December win at Chicago, Rodgers was 23 of 36 for 291 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. It was the Packers 12th straight win against division opponents and clinched the NFC North.
32. Slaying the Seahawks in 2015
It wasn't equal revenge for the previous season's NFC Championship loss in Seattle, but the Packers won their 2015 home opener over the Seahawks. Rodgers was 25 of 33 for 249 yards with two touchdown passes and no interceptions.
33. R-E-L-A-X
The Packers were off to a wobbly 1-2 start in 2014 when Rodgers urged the team's fans to relax. The Packers finished 12-4 and went to the NFC Championship game.
34. Run The Table
In 2016, the Packers were 4-6 and seemed to be going nowhere. Rodgers told reporters they could run the table. They did, winning their last six games to capture the division.
35. Perfect Home Record
The Packers went 8-0 at Lambeau Field in 2011 and 2014.
36. Reunion with Favre
Brett Favre's awkward departure from Green Bay caused a strained relationship with Rodgers and the fan base. When Rodgers and Favre appeared together at the 2013 NFL Honors, it began a therapeutic thawing out of the relationship.
