MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis (SPECTRUM NEWS)- Whether elected in April or June, whomever is elected as the next Milwaukee County Executive will have to immediately tackle the issue of Coronavirus upon entering office. Milwaukee County has been the hardest hit county in the state both in total cases and number of deaths.

State Representative and Milwaukee County Executive candidate David Crowley says he is ready to lead the people of Milwaukee County through the crisis by fostering strong communication.

“We have to be ready for this and I think I am ready for this. Nobody is prepared for any type of pandemic, but I think right now you talk about what we have been talking about in this campaign. Building bridges, That is something we need now more than ever.” Says Crowley

Rep. Crowley says he is concerned about the disproportionate number of African Americans that have been infected with Coronavirus in the city and county. He says he wants to work to address the inequalities facing county residents if elected.

In addition to tackling Coronavirus, Crowley says top priorities of his campaign include making sure people around the county have easy access to jobs through public transportation, and wants to work with leaders in the surrounding collar counties to ensure a strong transit network exists.
