Grob is a Wisconsin native and was born in a farming community near Madison.

He even referenced his farming roots during his installation.

“I still see myself, after all these years, as a farm boy from Wisconsin,” Grob said. “Which is why I chose the gospel reading that I did. Because it’s practical. The Lord always spoke in practical ways."

Grob said he is most looking forward to learning this new path and working to bring younger generations to the church. He said there is a joy in him that he is excited to share with others.

“There is an excitement; I am happy,” Grob said. “I am honored. God has been so good to me."
