PAOLI, Wis — From former NFL-stars-turned-chefs, to James Beard award winners, to cooking show champions, the small community of Paoli, Wis. — population of 158, give or take — and its recently restored-and-renovated Seven Acre Dairy Company will be the place to be over the next few months. The bar-meets-restaurant also serves as an inn and a creamery.
Seven Acre Dairy company will be rolling out a series of events in its new Frost to Flower dinner series.
"This is a dinner series that's going to run basically to our busy season in the summer," said Nic Mink, Seven Acre Dairy Company's chief restoration officer. "We're bringing 16 different chefs, best-selling cookbook authors [and] food artisans from all over the country to here in little Paoli, where they'll have really intimate dinners with between 60 and 80 people."
Just weeks after being featured on the cover of the winter edition of Midwest Living, Mink said the attention Seven Acre Dairy Company has been getting from across the country has simply been mind blowing.
"These last six weeks have been quite a whirlwind," Mink said. "More importantly, though, to be able to restore this incredible dairy for this awesome community and to reactivate it again as a place where people can come eat, people can come stay, people can come have weddings and events has just been an awesome process. Paoli is a really special place."
