OAK CREEK, Wis. — A local community is coming together to help support a Racine County family who lost everything in a recent house fire.

The family said they ran out with just the clothes on their back, but thankfully they are all okay.

The Caledonia Fire Department said the fire started in the garage. The house is on State Highway 38 in Franksville.

Staff at the Kunes Buick GMC in Oak Creek is helping the family with a collection drive. Neighbors are dropping off everything from baby items to clothes to help support the family.

One of the family members works at the dealership. He didn’t want to go on camera because of the overwhelming week, but says he can’t thank the community enough for their support.

The family has three young boys and they are expecting a baby girl. If you would like to donate items, you can drop them off at the Kunes dealership in Oak Creek or donate online here.
