GREEN BAY, Wis. — It’s an NFC North Division showdown for the Green Bay Packers Thursday night in Detroit.

The first-place Lions are off to their best start ever. They’re 11-1 with a 10-game winning streak. The Packers are 9-3 and a perfect 3-0 since the bye. Their last loss was to Detroit.

Here are three things to watch.

First meeting

The Lions won 24-14 in that first meeting at Lambeau Field on Nov. 3. Jordan Love’s pick-six near the end of the first half was a pivot point in that game. Detroit coach Dan Campbell is 5-2 against the Packers. This is only the fourth time ever — and the first since 1996 — that the Packers have faced a team with at least a .917 winning percentage 12-plus games into a season.

Ford Field facts

Last season, the Packers won at Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. They’ve won their last five road division games. The Packers have won in Detroit three of the last five years.

In addition, the Packers have won eight of the last 12 games they’ve played on a Thursday night. This is only the third time — and the first since 2015 — that the Packers have played on back-to-back Thursdays.

Detroit’s defense banged up

While Detroit’s offense is diverse and dangerous, the Lions’ defense has been hit hard by injuries.

The headliners: Aidan Hutchinson, Malcolm Rodriguez and Alex Anzalone. Former Packer Za’Darius Smith was acquired by the Lions from the Cleveland Browns to help fill the gap in pass rushing. Detroit’s only loss this season was at home to Tampa Bay in Week 2.

This is the 93rd consecutive season these teams have met. They’ve played each other at least twice a season every year since 1932.
