GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers and Bears will meet for the 209th time Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Mired in a three-game losing streak and with their offense sputtering despite the presence of number one overall draft pick, quarterback Caleb Williams, the Bears have changed offensive coordinators.
Sunday will be the debut of former Badgers assistant coach Thomas Brown as Chicago's offensive coordinator.
Here are three things to watch in that game.
Perfect 10
Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur is 10-0 against the Bears. The 10 straight wins for the Packers matches the series record held by the 1994-1998 Packers. Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus is 0-4 against Green Bay.
Their kind of town
The Packers have won five straight at Soldier Field in Chicago and haven’t allowed more than 20 points in any of those five games. In fact, the Packers have not allowed over 28 points in 17 straight games in Chicago. The Packers have won 13 of the last 14 and 25 out of the last 30 games at Soldier Field.
Family ties
Packers offensive line coach Luke Butkus is the nephew of the Hall of Fame Bears linebacker Dick Butkus. Among the Packers' players, wide receiver Jayden Reed and defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness grew up in the Chicago area.
The Bears' roster includes former Packers Marcedes Lewis and Jonathan Owens. Also playing for Chicago are former Badgers T.J. Edwards and Jack Sanborn.
