GREEN BAY, Wis. — Vice President Kamala Harris checked off three cities during a swing through Wisconsin on Thursday, as she tried to reach voters in as many corners of the battleground state as she could.

However, it was the last stop of the day that Democrats feel stands a decent chance of swinging in their favor—in the Green Bay area surrounded by the so-called “BOW” counties of Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago.

What You Need To Know

  • Vice President Kamala Harris returned to Wisconsin for the sixth time since entering the race for president—as she visited Milwaukee, La Crosse, and Green Bay on Thursday

  • Harris’ first two stops were on college campuses where she was joined by billionaire businessman Mark Cuban

  • The vice president ended the day with a rally held at Resch Expo just outside of Green Bay

  • Harris last visited Wisconsin two weeks ago when she rallied supporters at Ripon College and campaigned alongside former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney

“This is going to be a tight race until the very end,” Harris told the crowd as she took the stage at Resch Expo. “Look, we are the underdog and that’s why we are, and I am, campaigning to earn every single vote.”

With 19 days left to go, Harris made a point of reminding voters about her opponent’s record on reproductive rights.

“He refuses continuously to acknowledge the harm he has caused,” Harris said before playing a clip of former President Donald Trump talking about Roe v. Wade.

“Now, I mean, seriously—so, first of all, no, Donald, everybody did not want Roe v. Wade to be overturned,” Harris added afterward.

The vice president also laid out her vision for what she calls an opportunity economy—from offering child tax credits to down payment help for first-time homebuyers.

“The American dream, well, that was real for generations past, but not so much in the reach of people right now,” Harris explained. And we’ve got to deal with the real challenges that people are facing right now if we’re going to invest in the future.”

Harris, who arrived in Milwaukee Wednesday night, began her day on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus Thursday, as she dropped by a business class to share her plan to help entrepreneurs get started.

After that, it was on to La Crosse where Harris made another campus visit and rallied with thousands of students.

Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban joined the vice president on her first two stops on the trail Thursday before Harris wrapped up her visit to Wisconsin with an evening rally just outside of Green Bay.

“Each individual has the power to weigh in on this, and so Wisconsin, today I ask you: Are you ready to make your voices heard,” Harris asked the crowd.

The latest trip through Wisconsin by Harris comes as the campaign said it has knocked on more than a million doors across the state since she jumped into the race for president.

Republicans, however, accused Harris of using the American dream as a punchline.

“For four years, while runaway inflation and skyrocketing rent were crushing Milwaukee, Harris bragged about Bidenomics and declared it a success,” WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming said in a statement. “Now, she returns to Wisconsin expecting us to ignore what our bank statements and monthly budgets make clear: that we were better off four years ago under President Trump.”

Thursday marked Harris’ sixth trip to the Badger State since she entered the race for president, after which she traveled to Michigan.
