GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers easily handled the Arizona Cardinals Sunday at Lambeau Field, 34-13.
Jordan Love became the first Packers quarterback since Brett Favre in 1995 to throw at least four touchdown passes in back-to-back home games. Two of those touchdown passes were to Romeo Doubs, who seamlessly returned from his one-game suspension.
Three of the storylines surrounding the Cardinals leading up to the game were proven meaningless.
Did Arizona have momentum after their comeback win over the San Francisco49ers in California? No.
Would rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. have a breakout game? No. He didn’t have a catch before leaving with an apparent concussion.
And would the Cardinals continue to be the least penalized team in the NFL? An emphatic no. The Cardinals had 13 penalties for 100 yards on Sunday.
It added up to a Packers rout. They’re now 4-2 with the Houston Texans coming to Lambeau Field next Sunday. It was an encouraging day for the Packers.
