SUPERIOR, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Superior set multiple enrollment records this semester, according to the school’s enrollment data.

A total of 2,801 students are enrolled at UW-Superior this fall. That’s a 4% year-over-year increase in enrollment and the largest number of total enrolled students UW-Superior has seen since 2011.

UW-Superior has 787 graduate students enrolled this fall, an all-time high. The university saw a 25% increase in online graduate enrollment this semester.

UW-Superior increased its new, on-campus undergraduate student population by 5%. This fall, a total of 1,205 on-campus undergraduate students are calling UW-Superior home.

“UW-Superior has had five consecutive years of overall enrollment growth,” Jordan Milan, associate vice chancellor of enrollment and marketing, said. “We’re excited to see positive figures across student types — from on-campus first-year students to online graduate students. Students tell us that they are drawn to UWS because of our supportive, caring community of faculty and staff who truly want to see them succeed. We are thrilled to welcome more students to the Yellowjacket family.”

The university noted that over 200 international students are enrolled at UW-Superior this semester, representing 26 countries.

The university has 202 high school dual enrollment students, too.

“There is a palpable energy and wonderful sense of optimism on campus this fall,” said Chancellor Renée Wachter. “With our new Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium Grand Opening in October and many new partners and plans for the coming year, it’s exciting to see UW-Superior continue to position itself as the Anchor of the North.”
