Howard Jacob made the trip from Chicago to see his favorite team play in their home opener. Before the game, he said it was too early to tell how the season would play out, should the Packers lose against the Colts.

“I think it’s too early in the season for us to make that assessment,” Jacob said. “What we’ve got right now is a talented team. We’ve got speed, we’ve got some talented players, it’s too early. You know, if you look at last year, what happened last year, I think we’ll be fine.”

Jacob said he was pleasantly surprised by how well the Packers played on Sunday afternoon. He said it was more impressive pulling off a win without Jordan Love.

“Got to have the run game, but there was some good passing, and the defense played great,” Jacob said.

Fabian Barnett is a Packers fan from Massachusetts. He flew in this weekend to watch the game. He said the defense showed out, but that wasn’t the only highlight of the day from his perspective.

“We have a bunch of dogs, and they want to work, and our offense, Josh Jacobs, our new addition, Xavier McKinney, is working,” he said. “It shows like, put money towards the team and it gets better.”

Jacob said this was a big win for the Packers and first-time Packers starting quarterback, Malik Willis.

“Wow, what a win. You know, any win is a good win, but doing this without Jordan, awesome,” Jacob said. “I thought it was a great team effort to step in with Jordan out.”

Jacob said he hopes the team can build off this momentum and keep the Packers dreams alive of bringing another Super Bowl back to Titletown.
