WISCONSIN — As pumpkin spice takes over and temperatures continue to drop, fall is just around the corner.

That means many Wisconsinites and their families will venture out to start their fall traditions, whether it’s visiting the local pumpkin patch or the apple orchard, hiking through the forests of gold or baking those sweet apple pies.

Here, we round out some of the top corn mazes around the state.

Milwaukee area

Creekside Valley Farm

13101 N. Wauwatosa Road, Mequon

Explore nearly five acres of the corn maze at Creekside Valley Farm. As you make your way through the maze, farm trivia questions will help show you the way. When you happen upon a question, take your best guess. If you're correct, you'll get a clue to lead you in the right direction. But if you answer incorrectly, you could end up at a dead end. The farm is open daily starting Sept. 21. Closing date will depend on crop supply but will likely be around Oct. 31.

The Elegant Farmer

Highway ES & J, 1545 Main Street, Mukwonago

The Elegant Farmer offers a family-friendly corn maze as part of its harvest fest. The corn maze is open Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 7 to Oct. 27. Harvest Fest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, but the last entry to the corn maze is at 4 p.m.

Basse's Taste of Country

3190 County Road Q, Colgate

Basse's Taste of Country offers two corn mazes. Choose from the Trivia Corn Maze or the Who Don It Corn Maze, or try out both. The trivia maze is the larger of the two mazes, while the other engages visitors in a unique farm-style murder mystery game. The corn mazes are part of Basse's Taste of Country's Pumpkin Fest, which runs from Sept. 21 to Oct. 31. It is open Mondays through Fridays from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Madison area

Schuster's Farm

1326 US Highway 12 and 18, Deerfield

At Schuster's Farm, you can embrace the fall season exploring seven acres of a two-part corn maze. Or try out the mini maze, which only takes five to 10 minutes to complete and is geared toward little ones or those who don't want to get totally lost. Guests can bring their flashlights on select nights and try to conquer the corn maze in the dark.

Schuster's Farm kicks off its fall season Sept. 21. On weekends, the farm is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for Nov. 2, when the farm will open at noon and close at 6 p.m.). The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The farm is closed Tuesdays. Evening activities such as the haunted forest and flashlight maze take place on select days with extended hours. Click here for details.

Treinen Farm

W12420 WI Trunk 60, Lodi

Treinen Farm's corn maze has been named one of the top 10 corn mazes in the country by USA Today. Visitors start out with a puzzle map. You'll have to find the missing pieces in seven hidden mailboxes throughout the maze. This challenge takes an average of 45 minutes to an hour, but if you're looking for more corn maze fun, you can search for secret locations throughout the maze, or try to conquer the maze-within-the-maze that is hidden within the main corn maze.

Treinen Farm is open now through Nov. 3. It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is also open Wednesdays and Tuesdays in October from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last admission is two hours before the farm closes for the day.

Enchanted Valley Acres

5047 Enchanted Valley Road, Cross Plains

Enchanted Valley Acres is offering a "Mammoths and Mastodons" themed corn maze this year that spans more than eight acres.

Starting Sept. 7, Enchanted Valley Acres is open on Saturdays and Sundays for the month of September. From Oct. 1 to 27, Enchanted Valley Acres will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and on Thursday, Oct. 17, and Thursday Oct. 24. Green Bay area

Polly's Pumpkin Patch

N4367 Highway 57, Chilton

Polly's offers two corn mazes spanning 15 acres for guests to try. The first, larger corn maze will have a 2025 NFL Draft theme to celebrate the upcoming draft, which Green Bay will host. In this larger corn maze, which can take up to two hours to complete, there are 18 hidden "check points" to find throughout the maze. Players are given a card, and each check point has a paper puncher to use to show you've conquered the maze. Of course, playing the game is not required. Polly's offers a second corn maze that is smaller and recommended for families with young kids.

Polly's Pumpkin Patch's fall season runs from Sept. 13 to Oct. 31. The farm is open daily, operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

DENN Door County

2050 County Road DK, Sturgeon Bay

On Thursdays through Sundays now through Nov. 2, try your hand at "Opes & Ladders," a 10-acre corn maze inspired by the classic childhood game, Chutes & Ladders. Find "chutes" marked throughout the maze, which could help or hinder your quest. In the spirit of fun and games, you can play some mini golf or Plinko. Plus, you can grab a bite to eat while you're here, whether you attend a Brat Fry (every weekend in September) or try out a food truck (every weekend in October). This corn maze is complete with a bar, patio area, playground and more.

The corn maze is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
