GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers released kicker Anders Carlson during the team's final roster cuts on Tuesday.

Carlson was selected by the Packers out of Auburn in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft to replace Mason Crosby.

In his rookie season, Carlson missed a 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter of the 24-21 NFC divisional playoffs, which the Packers lost to San Francisco. Carlson went 27 of 33 on field goals during the regular season in 2023, but was just 7 of 13 from at least 40 yards. He led the NFL with five missed extra points.

Carlson was battling for the position of kicker this year after the Packers signed Minnesota Vikings kicker Greg Joseph and Jack Podlesny.
