Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are planning a rally Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Milwaukee, according to the Harris campaign.
Officials said the rally will be held at Fiserv Forum, the same place the GOP appointed former President Donald Trump as its presidential nominee during the Republican National Convention in July. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for the free event.
The visit coincides with the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, which an event page suggests will be a part of the rally. It says rally-goers will be able to watch Barack and Michelle Obama address the DNC following remarks by Harris and Walz.
Harris and Walz last visited the Badger State on Aug. 8, with a stop in Eau Claire.
This stop marks the third time since Harris become the Democratic presidential nominee that she’s come to swing state Wisconsin, a nod to the importance of the state.
Ohio Sen. JD Vance, Trump's running mate, was in Milwaukee on Friday to speak at the Milwaukee Police Association. He'll also be in Kenosha on Tuesday to address the press. This will be his third visit to Wisconsin as the vice presidential nominee.
