MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Harley-Davidson is roaring into August at full-speed. The company announced Thursday that factory tours will return to its Menomonee Falls factory location.
Harley-Davidson has not offered factory tours since the pandemic began in 2020.
The new guided-tours of the Powertrain Operations factory will begin Monday, Aug. 5.
The “Walk the Line” tour takes place on the factory floor, where Harley-Davidson engines and transmissions are manufactured. Guests will learn how engines are built, tested and inspected before they head to vehicle assembly.
Additionally, Harley-Davidson will offer a hands-on class called “Engines 101” as an add-on to the tour. Students will get a close-up view of how a powertrain is built and how it works.
Those who embark on tours will also be able to purchase limited-edition Harley-Davidson items.
The walking tour lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. For now, tours and classes will only be offered Mondays and Thursdays. Private tour bookings are available Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Safety goggles, ear protection and vests are provided to guests and those who attend must wear close-toed walking shoes. Shoes may not have a heel higher than one inch.
Reservations are required. Learn more, here.
