WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. — Wisconsin had at least six tornadoes touch down Saturday night, including two in Walworth County — with Fontana and Williams Bay suffering the most damage there. Cleanup continued Monday.

"As it continued to move west from the state line area by Rock County and Grant County, we could see it progressing," said Walworth County Undersheriff Tom Hausner. "At one point, [a National Weather Service representative] informed us that it was bad and it was heading directly towards us."

Crews since confirmed that two separate EF-1 tornadoes touched down in both Fontana and nearby Williams Bay, leaving a lot of work behind for people in, and around, those communities this week.

"It didn't hit my house, but I had a large 20-year-old pine tree that was completely uprooted," Hausner said. "I had several smaller pine trees that were snapped at the top, but the day after the confirmed tornadoes, I was in the Village of Williams Bay and and homes have partial roofs missing, walls that are missing and more trees down in our area than I've ever seen in my 40 years in law enforcement."
