WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Wisconsin State Fair announced another lineup of tasty treats and creative concoctions for this year’s Sporkies and Drinkies finalists.
The food competition, Sporkies, has been around for about 10 years. The non-alcoholic drink competition known as Drinkies was introduced last year and is back after a successful first-year run.
In total, there are 12 finalists between the two competitions. Winners will be announced before the fair opens after a panel of judges chooses their favorites on July 31. Each finalist location will have a 13-foot Spork or Drinkie statue outside its location.
The Wisconsin State Fair runs from Aug. 1 to 11.
From a Cool Ranch Doritos Pickle to Purple Pickle Lemonade, here’s a look at this year’s finalists.
Sporkies finalists
Cool Ranch Doritos Pickle
Rolled into crushed up Cool Ranch Doritos, this spiral-cut dill pickle is served up with ranch dressing. It’s also served on a stick.

Deep-Fried Lemonade Bites
Bite into a summer classic. This treat is made with Hawaiian sweet rolls, dipped in French toast batter and filled with lemonade curd filing. To top it off, it’s also tossed in lemon sugar with a drizzle of icing.

Dirty Chai Cinnamon Roll Lumpia
This dish takes the arguably best part of the cinnamon roll — the center — and rolls it into a crispy lumpia wrapper. It’s made with fresh dough, chai-spiced brown sugar butter and cream cheese expresso frosting.

Elote Corn Ribs
This twist on a Midwest staple takes corn on the cob and turns it into a “rib” of sorts. The dish is tossed in hickory-smoked batter and deep-fried. It’s dusted with cotija cheese and is served over a bed of crisp kettle chips with a side of Elote dip.

Elvis Nachos
These nachos have homemade peanut butter banana sauce draped over Slim’s deep-fried potato chips. It’s topped with chopped peanuts, chopped banana chips and crumbled bacon.

Hot Ham and Glazers
This treat combines Wisconsin’s tradition of “Sunday Hot Ham and Rolls” and Glazers donuts into a savory sweet sandwich. It comes stacked with sliced ham, cream Swiss cheese, sweet raspberry jam and two Kwik Trip Glazers donuts.

Loaded Baked Potato Churro
This unique twist on a churro is stuffed with classic baked potato toppings, such as bacon, chives and cheddar cheese. Sour cream and onion dipping sauce are served on the side.

Rise and Swine
This brioche-based waffle is topped with Camp Bar’s Classic Vanilla Custard, a drizzle of Wisconsin maple syrup, gooey caramel sauce, toasted crunch bits and a dusting of powdered sugar. It also has two breakfast sausage links.

Drinkies finalists
Fairway Fusion
This drink is a twist on an Arnold Palmer; it’s equal parts sweet tea and lemonade with a mix of pineapple and key lime juices, a splash of coconut syrup and topped with fresh mint leaves.

Glazed Donut Coffee Float
This drink is topped with a golden glazed donut hole and delicate glazed donut crumbles. The drink itself is a rich glazed donut-infused iced coffee with creamy vanilla ice cream.

Purple Pickle Lemonade
A traditional Fair favorite with a new spin, this drink mixes lemonade, pickle juice and baby dill pickles. It also has Butterfly Pea Flower to make the drink purple.

Consisting of jasmine green tea infused with strawberry, mango and pineapple juice, this drink comes with FDA approved edible glitter.
