MILWAUKEE — Summerfest is right around the corner and has admission promotions for fans to get into the grounds with either free or discounted admission each day of this year’s nine-day festival.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF), producer of Summerfest, said this year, there are plenty of ways to give back to the community and get into the festival for free.

Thursday, June 20

From noon to 3 p.m., anyone who donates three shelf-stable food items will receive one free admission ticket to Summerfest. Food donations will be taken at all three gates and will benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.

The ticket is only valid Thursday, June 20, during the promotion hours. Tickets are limited to one per person.

Friday, June 21

Anyone who enters the Summerfest grounds between noon and 3 p.m. will be admitted for free. Select vendors will also offer discounted food and drinks.

Saturday, June 22

The first 1,500 patrons who head to the Summerfest grounds from noon to 3 p.m. and donate new socks, deodorant and/or oral hygiene items will receive one free admission ticket. Items must be valued at at least $10. Products will benefit kids in need in local public schools via United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County’s Mary Lou’s Closet and the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership.

The ticket is only valid Saturday, June 22 during the promotion hours. Tickets are limited to one per person.

First weekend free

The first 15,000 festival goers who download the Summerfest app will receive a free digital ticket to the festival. Tickets are valid for entry from noon to 4 p.m. on June 20 to 22.

To claim a free ticket, open the Summerfest app and head to the “Tickets” tab. Select the “Pepsi Promo Ticket” button and enter the required information. Select the Summerfest 2024 First Weekend one day admission ticket that is displayed, and then click “Get Tickets” and add one to your card. Don’t forget to checkout and complete your order.

Thursday, June 27

From noon to 6 p.m., take advantage of $5 admission fees and 50% off select drinks including beer, seltzer, cherry vodka lemonade, Aquafina water and soda.

Friday, June 28

Those who head to Summerfest sporting a shirt or hat from Herzing University, Marquette University, Milwaukee Area Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin-Parkside or University of Wisconsin-Whitewater will receive free admission to Summerfest. Additionally, anyone who brings their high school ID can enter the music festival for free. To claim your ticket, head to the Mid Gate Promotions Booth.

Saturday, June 29

All active-duty military personnel, veterans, police, fire personnel and EMTs can head to Summerfest for free from noon to 6 p.m. Up to four family members can join them for free. Make sure to bring a valid Military ID, copy or photo of a DD-214 form, driver’s license with Veteran classification, law enforcement or fire department agency-issued credentials. Alternatively, show your police or fire union ID with another valid photo ID for free admission.

From noon to 3 p.m., anyone who donated a new or gently used children’s book will be admitted to Summerfest for free. Books must be valued at at least $10 and will be donated to Next Door. Bring your donation to the Mid Gate Promotions Booth. Summerfest said picture books and early readers for children aged 0 to 10 are requested. The ticket is only valid Saturday, June 29, during the promotion hours. Tickets are limited to one per person.

Thursday, July 4

All festival patrons who head to Summerfest between noon and 6 p.m. will receive free admission. Plus, grab a free sample of M&Ms near the Mid Gate.

Friday, July 5

Anyone over 60 years old will be admitted to Summerfest for free from noon to 4 p.m. Make sure to bring your ID to the turnstile. Plus, all admitted seniors will receive $2 off food or a non-alcoholic drink when they spend at least $10. Wheelchairs will also be provided for free to seniors from noon to 4 p.m. while supplies last.

From noon to 3 p.m., the first 2,000 festival goers who donate three shelf-stable food items will receive free admission. Donates will benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and will be collected at the Mid Gate Promotion Booth. The ticket is only valid Friday, July 5, during the promotion hours. Tickets are limited to one per person.

Saturday, July 6

Anyone who makes it to Summerfest on the festival’s last day from noon to 3 p.m. will receive free admission. The first 30,000 people who enter the Summerfest grounds will receive a free ticket for Summerfest 2025 as well as a BIG WIN ticket entry.

Get in for free, any day of Summerfest

Any high schooler who starts their FAFSA application before July 6 can receive a code that will be redeemable for a free general admission ticket. Learn how to request a code, here

Plus, the first 500 people who show a completed donation in the Versiti App will receive a free Summerfest ticket at the Mid Gate box office. This promotion is limited to one ticket per day per festival goer.
