WISCONSIN — Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Milwaukee on Thursday, May 16, according to the White House.
The vice president will deliver remarks as part of her Economic Opportunity Tour at around 12:40 p.m. Thursday. The conversation will be moderated by comedian, radio show host and author DL Hughley, according to the White House.
In response to Harris' visit, Republican National Committee spokesperson Jacob Fischer released the following statement:
“Kamala Harris is in Milwaukee to try to sell an alternate reality of prosperity and opportunity to Wisconsinites. No amount of dog and pony shows will change the fact that Wisconsin families are being crushed by higher prices everywhere from the supermarket to the gas pump thanks to Bidenomics.”
This will be Harris's fourth visit to the battleground state this year. Harris last visited La Crosse, Wis. in late April to highlight two new actions by the White House aimed at supporting the care economy.
Her visit comes one week after President Joe Biden campaigned in Racine County and two weeks after former President Donald Trump campaigned in Waukesha.
Details of where Harris will visit have not yet been released.
