WISCONSIN — With summer just around the corner, several cultural festivities are on the horizon. 

Here are some of the Wisconsin cultural festivals coming up: 

Cinco de Mayo Festival

Date: May 4
Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: 2701 S Chase Avenue, Milwaukee

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with traditional Mexican foods, music and dance. The event will feature a tamale eating contest, chihuahua beauty contest, singing contest, a car show and more.

Festa Italia

Dates: May 31 to June 2
Times: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday

Festa Italians’s “Little Italy on the Lakefront” features a heritage and cultural exhibit, Italian idol, fireworks, bocce tournament, mass and lots of Italian food and wine.

Milwaukee Highland Games

Date: June 1
Times: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Croatian Park, 9100 S. 76th Street, Franklin

The event will feature bagpipe bands, Scottish food, highland dancing, the chance to see working sheep dogs in action and mini Highland Games in the children area.

Tosa Greek Fest Opa

Enjoy this free Greek festival with a lot of family fun, food and other ways to celebrate Greek culture. The festival will feature a live Greek band, homemade Greek desserts, dancing and more.

Polish Fest

Dates: June 14 to 26

The festival highlights Polish and Polish-American entertainment on five stages. The event will highlight Polish culture by showcasing folk art, Polish artist demonstrations, a marketplace and a children’s area.

Bastile Days

Dates: July 11 to 14

Armenian Fest

Armenian Fest is back this year. The festival began in the 1930s, when the Armenian community in Milwaukee gathered every year for a summer picnic. The event will feature traditional Mediterranean dishes along with Armenian wine, cultural booths and Armenian artifacts.

Hmong Sheboygan Summer Festival

The Milwaukee Chinesse community presents the Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival, which will showcase Chinesse culture and traditions. The festival will include traditional dance, Chinese folk music and martial arts.
