MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a non-contact calf injury during the third quarter of Tuesday night’s victory over the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum.

While Antetokounmpo underwent an MRI to assess the injury, his coach and teammates made comments to the media.

Bucks head coach Doc Rivers was asked about his level of concern about the injury, with just three regular season games left for the Bucks before the playoffs.

“High. I would say that,” said Rivers. “He’s Giannis. I think everyone probably feels the same way as I do right now. So, we’re just going to hope for the best.”

“It is unfortunate,” added Bucks center Brook Lopez. “Hoping for the best. We’ve got to just control what we can. Obviously, Giannis is going to do whatever you can do, whatever the situation may be. I don’t even know what it is yet. And we just got to keep showing up game by game and then playing together and being ourselves.”

“You know, injuries are part of the game and it’s part of life,” said Bucks forward Bobby Portis. “Thoughts and prayers to big bro #34. Hope everything’s well with him and he has a speedy recovery as fast as he can, whatever happened. Obviously, is tough to duplicate what he can do on the court to help the team win. But other guys have to be ready.”

The Bucks host the Orlando Magic Wednesday night in the regular season home finale.
